“On a stick”

Reid Priedhorsky
Back in Minnesota, the State Fair was a big deal, and the biggest deal of them all was foods on a stick — a couple of years ago, there were well over 100 kinds, from bacon to fruit to corn dogs to deep-fried candy bars to tater tot hot dish to (of course) walleye.

Here in New Mexico, we have to settle for pine cones on a yucca.

Perimeter Trail, December 2012.
